Broad Street, runs from the Market House, where regular markets have been held since the middle ages. The market shown in the top photographs was a special one day 'French Market' which occurred in 2003 but regular Thursday and Saturday markets are still held, along with the 'Farmers' Market' on the first Friday of every month. Broad Street continues on to Brookend Street and is linked to Edde Cross Street and Trenchard Street via High Street, New Street and Kyrle Street.
