Archenfield Veterinary Surgery is located close to the town centre
of Ross-on-Wye and provides veterinary care for both small and
large animals - from hamsters to cattle. The surgery's dedicated
team of three vets, two nurses, a trainee veterinary nurse and
receptionists are keen to provide help and assistance to you and
your pet.
Staff
at the surgery pride themselves on being able to offer their own
twenty-four hour emergency service so that you can be certain
to see one of the vets immediately.
Surgery
times are from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, 2:00 pm to 3:00 PM and 5.30
PM to 6:30 PM on weekdays with a Saturday surgery from 9:00 am
to 11:00 am. There is no appointment system so simply turn up
with your pet during surgery hours to see a vet or nurse. We close
between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM weekdays. Please feel free to call
in at any other time to weigh your pet or just to socialize them!
It is important for the animals to feel happy going to the vets
so if they can visit and just receive treat or some fuss, they
may be less likely to be stressed when they have to visit for
any other reason.

Lloyd and Simon Lyddon.
If you are concerned about your pet's teeth, worried about your
pets weight or unsure of when to worm your puppy or kitten you
can visit Archenfield Surgery to discuss your pets health with
one of our vets or qualified nurses.
Why
not ask about Archenfield Veterinary Surgery's blood donor scheme?
All volunteers receive incentives and may help to save the life
of someone's beloved pet.
The
surgery is equipped with two consultation rooms, laboratory, operating
theatre, preparation room and x-ray suite. The receptionists are
happy to answer any queries and also sell flea and worming products,
prescription diets, dental supplies and other gifts for your pet.
Please be aware that particular products are unable to be sold
if there is no vet or suitably qualified person present. To be
certain, please telephone first so that the product can be put
ready for you.
If
you are unable to take your pet to the surgery, the vets are happy
to arrange home visits to suit you. Please ring reception and
arrange a convenient time.
For
large animal clients, Archenfield Vets offer a wide range of services
including a collection service for prescription drugs. In 2008,
a series of Farmers' Meetings' are being planned to discuss recent
changes in the industry and how vets can help farmers to cut disease
risks and costs.
