Pangaea

The inspiration for the tune, 'Pangaea' came to me whilst walking by the Doward Caves one autumn afternoon in 2000. Pangaea was the name of Earth's one continent, ruled by Tyrannosaurus Rex and other dinosaurs before plate tectonics reshaped the planet and separated the land mass into the continents we know today. The whole making of this music was a single handed affair and it was recorded at my own home over a period of one week. The drum track was recorded more or less as soon as I arrived home, using Yamaha drum pads. This was followed by the main synthesizer and bass guitar tracks. A couple of 'fill-in' synth tracks and the two acoustic guitar tracks were added at a later stage in the process and the whole thing was then mixed together using 'Cakewalk' on my desktop computer.
