Winter Views from Bull's Hill, Ross-on-Wye

The views below were taken from Bull's Hill, Herefordshire on January 29th 2004. I have been promising various people who have emailed me coverage of the Bull's Hill and Howle Hill areas of Ross on 'Wyenot' for some time, so here they are.

The sunny skies in the photographs belie the truly treacherous conditions under foot as a small snow shower the evening before had turned instantly to ice. Walking just a few paces was extremely difficult and driving the van down some of the shaded icy lanes and forest paths with sheer drops to the side was scary!

Both Goodrich Castle and St. Michael's and All Angels Church, Walford, depicted in the photographs below are covered more fully elsewhere on the site. See also Howle Hill. I hope you enjoy the views!
