The building that houses Cloisters is full of character with old oak beams, yet these typically English features work to enhance the Thai decor and ornamentation that adorn the beautifully furnished restaurant. There are several seating arrangements at Cloisters, from intimate corners for two persons or small groups to the large dining room upstairs which may, by arrangement be used for a private party for up to thirty five persons.

The menu at Cloisters has a fantastic choice of tasty dishes, ranging from mild to very spicy, all of which are expertly prepared by chef Tawin. The dishes are given their Thai name with a full English description, so you do know exactly what you are ordering. There are seventeen starters to choose from as well as five soup dishes. The soups at Cloisters are not considered to be starters however.

There is an extensive menu of main courses, including beef, pork, chicken, duck, seafood and vegetarian meals. Tawin also cooks Kang Dang, a famous Thai red curry and Kang Kiew Waan green curry both prepared with coconut milk, incorporating chicken or beef. Another popular Thai dish on the menu is Massaman Gai, made with chicken cooked with Thai herbs in a mild peanut curry - just a couple of examples of the fine food you will experience when you dine out at Cloisters.
