Filmed over
three days, in March 2009, 'Springtime in the Woods' mostly shows
the wild daffodils which grow, both in the forest and along the
roadside, about four miles to the east of Ross-on-Wye,
in Dymock
and Kempley. It also shows wild deer and geese in the Forest
of Dean. The local wild daffodils are a beautiful sight in
March and are always one of the first signs that spring is on
its way.
In the village
of Kempley, which is known for 'St Mary's, its medieval church,
an annual 'Daffodil Weekend' takes place in March, which, as well
as enjoying the scenic drive along daffodil lined lanes to get
there, visitors can also enjoy guided walks or tea and cakes in
the village hall.
The wild deer
and the geese were filmed in the Forest of Dean, in the woods
close to Speech House.
The film can
be watched full screen by clicking the button at the right hand
side of the progress bar. If
your computer or internet connection is not the fastest, HD can
also be switched off but the quality of video reproduction will
not be quite as good.
