This short
film portrays the villages of Symonds Yat East and West as well
as views from Yat Rock. The film begins with a September dawn
sequence - mist rising and then lifting from over the river. A
fisherman catches a large pike, swans swim and fly above the water.
It then
moves on to the rope pull ferry which transports locals and tourists
alike between the villages of Symonds Yat East and West and catches
some canoeists - some in fancy dress and finishes with sunset
and star scenes as seen from Yat Rock. At
500 feet above sea level, Yat Rock affords spectacular views of
the River Wye and of many counties.
