Heuristics at Goodrich Castle - July 2003

Did you know that the modern gravy boat is a derivative of what was once the vessel for collecting female urine?

As well as providing games from the middle ages for people to enjoy and other interesting and fun performances on 12th and 13th July 2003, 'Kathryn & Don,' gave an extremely amusing and informative demonstation of how herbs and spices were used in medicine during medieval times. The photographs below do not really do the show justice as the animation and amusing parts cannot really be captured with a still camera. Should you find yourself with the opportunity of seeing them at Goodrich in future or at any other of the Heritage sites they visit, it is well worth makng the effort to attend.
