It is situated between the historic market towns of Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth and is in close proximity to the Forest of Dean. The Cotswolds, Welsh borders, Cardiff, Hereford and Gloucester are reached in less than an hour. Granton House has an interesting history. It was built in the 17th century and is one of the oldest dwellings in the village of Goodrich and was once the home of the eminent Victorian artist, Joshua Cristall.

There are superb views of Coppet Hill and the surrounding countryside to be enjoyed from the beautiful grounds and the comfortably furnished lounge, where guests are welcome to relax after spending a day out and about.

The dining room at Granton House is elegantly furnished and is a lovely room in which to enjoy one of the delicious breakfasts that John and Liz have to offer. As well as serving up a tasty, full English breakfast, using fresh local produce, free- range eggs, home-made bread and preserves, John and Liz also prepare their own, home-made muesli. A vegetarian breakfast can be prepared for you if you prefer.

Granton House offers luxuriously furnished, en suite accommodation and each room is equipped with a television, radio, a hair dryer and an abundantly filled hospitality tray. John and Liz provide many extras for their guests, ensuring their comfort and enjoyment whilst staying with them.

Due to it's location, Granton House is close to many local attractions and amenities. Goodrich Castle is virtually on the door step. If you like to stay active whilst on holiday, why not try canoeing, fishing, horse riding or explore some of the many scenic walks that are available in the immediate area?
