Saint
Georges Day celebrations and the 291th Meeting of the Morris
Ring were just two of the events which took place in Ross involving
morris men. Both local morris dancers and
other morris 'sides' from around the country performed at various
events. These included but were not limited to the Harthill,
Silurian, Letchworth, Long Man and Forest of Dean Morris, as
well as Forest of Dean clog ladies during 2002.
Morris
dancing has been an English tradition since the middle ages
and the Morris Ring was founded to keep the tradition alive.
