Crowds eagerly
awaited Ross-on-Wye Carnival procession this year on Saturday,
7th August, which was a beautifully hot and sunny day, much
more in keeping with the type of weather to be expected during
the summer months. Behind the scenes, the day's work had begun
on the carnival riverside field at a very misty 6 am, with the
setting up of the many stalls and sideshows for the crowds to
enjoy later on in the afternoon.

Estate during the morning. The judges were Pam Skinner, Margaret
Cole, Phyllis Christopher and Vere Christopher of Mitcheldean
