Why not
set up your easel and spend a leisurely day painting? Mary Sinclair
Powell would love to hear from anyone who would like to bring
their art or craft to the Market House for the day - whether
it be art work, quilting or wood carving. Please contact the
Heritage Centre as soon as possible to book a (free) space.
Demonstration space can be arranged under cover if desired.
In the Heritage
Centre itself that day, Ann White will be demonstrating her
quilting skills once again, as will Lyn Tomlinson her card making
skills. August is also festival month. To mark this the centre
will be displaying the 'Blue Tube' Sculptures, from the festival.
"The Thinker" and "The Kiss" are two very imaginative pieces
using a very unusual medium. They need to be seen to be appreciated
and will be exhibited from 24th August to 9th September.
Richard
Lewis and Sue Parker have now settled into their roles at the
Centre and together with Judith Wilkins and Chloe Cooke, make
a good all round team. They will be pleased to answer any queries
and if they do not have the answer, Mary Sinclair Powell will
get back to you as soon as possible.
Further
details, as always, on all forthcoming events and exhibitions
at the Heritage Centre can be obtained by calling in or telephoning
01432 260675 during opening hours (10am to 5pm Monday to Saturday,
Sunday 10.30am to 4pm). A lunch break closure takes place between
1pm and 1.30pm daily. A full list of events and exhibitions
to be held between now until December is available at the Centre.
