It is customary for the Mayor of Ross to choose a charity to
support. During his year as Mayor, Councillor John Davies decided
that it would be good to support a local charity and chose Ross
Community Hospital League of Friends.
The
League of Friends supply extras to Ross Community Hospital that
the NHS cannot provide such as daily and weekly newspapers,
a visiting and trolley service, a twice weekly book service,
ice water for patients and staff and endeavour to help make
Christmas, Easter and Birthdays as festive as possible.

Everything
Must Go at Forest Green
|
|
On Thursday
16th September, the crew of ITV's programme "Everything Must
Go" arrived at Forest Green, Ross-on-Wye to film presenters
Jamie Breese and Clayton Byfield-Riches helping the Marfell family
to dispose of as much of their property as possible in order to
enable them to relocate closer to a town, minus excessive baggage.
The
camera crew filmed around the Thursday Ross-on-Wye market prior
to the sale, which began at 3:30 in the afternoon.
Pictured
to the right are the two presenters of "Everything Must Go,"
Jamie and Clayton, who kindly posed for the photograph along with
a rather cute looking monkey.

What
can I say ? . . .

...Thank you!
The
award was a complete surprise and it was a pleasure, as always.
I
enjoyed being a small part of it and your certificate is now
taking pride of place on my office wall!
And
that it's a good job you haven't seen my garden! I like to think
of it as a nature reserve.
