Thursday,
3rd February will see the opening night of the John Kyrle High
School production of the famous 1955 musical,
'Guys and Dolls'.
The cast
and crew are made up almost entirely of pupils at the school,
the only help from staff with the actual performance being the
direction of Mr Abbott, technical advice from Mr Chatwin and
a few members of the accompanying musicians.
The costumes
look very professional and the cast are extremely talented young
people. All involved have obviously worked very hard to bring
this production about. This looks like a show not to be missed.
The show
runs on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, 3rd, 4th and
5th February, from 7:30 pm. Tickets are available from the school
reception desk and are priced at £4.50 for adults and
£3.50 for children.
The lead
characters are as follows:
Adelaide
- Kelsey Smith
Nathan Detroit - Sean Connell
Sky Masterson - Steve Liddle
Sarah Brown - Laura Freeman
Nicely Nicely - Chris Mason
Benny - Aaron Fowler
With excellent
support from the chorus.
