Bridstow
Primary School held a Summer Fete on Saturday 25th June.
The event was opened at 2 pm by Jill Bowen, who has taught
at the school for many years and is retiring in the Summer.
The
fete had a medieval theme and many of the children and
the staff dressed up for the occasion.
As
well as a bouncy castle and many stalls, there were donkeys
to ride and some fine displays of both Country and Tudor
dancing by the children. A favourite side-show, however,
was a Police car which the children were free to explore
and the siren was constantly tested. I think it most unlikely
that anybody was found to be speeding on the infamous
'Bridstow Crossing' last Saturday afternoon!
