Above: Hedgehogs are regular visitors to my Ross-on-Wye garden. I caught this baby one in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The poppy is my personal favourite of wild flowers. I photographed this one amid meadow grass, which I planted in a corner of the garden by the natural pond last year.

The Day the Seven Seas Caught Fire! No, not a Biblical tale of epic proportions along the lines of Sodom and Gomorrah. More a catastrophe down the local chippy. The event took place during the late 1970s. Also noticeable in this photograph are the pub sign for the Eagle, as in 'The Eagle has landed' and the sign for 'Harvey's', during the pre-Jacquelines days.
