Various
coffee mornings took place in and around Ross-on-Wye in
aid of Macmillan, Cancer Relief. Pictured below are some
of the events.
Immediately
below at the Corn Exchange Council Offices are Ruby Price,
Deputy Mayor Phil Cutter, Stella Bufton, Enid Gibbons,
Augusta Stephens (Gussie), Soosie Pinnell, Mayoress Margaret
Lucas and Fay Lerego.
At
Ashfield Park School, where another coffee morning took
place, one of the organizers, Ann Mince said, 'The morning
was a wonderful community event involving parents, grandparents,
friends and staff. The new Prefects carried out their
first public duties and were a credit to the school. A
massive thank you must be given to the teaching assistants
who organized the event, also to the staff and pupils
for producing the cakes. Kevin Lane, a local baker made
a large cake which was raffled and many local businesses
donated gifts as well. The total raised on the day was
£350. It is hoped that this is the first of many such
occasions at the school.
The
third of the events I managed to get to was held at 'Euroclydon'.
In the photograph, Joan Adams, Cath Crossmore, Elain Malsom,
Jill Marfell (Organizer), Christine Clarke, Katheline
Griffiths, Mary Latham, Jessie Tanner and Louise McCall
with Baby, Baily McCall (8 weeks) can be seen enjoying
the morning at the house, in the beautiful Drybrook countryside.
