I
have been asked many times in the past by visitors to
Wyenot.com about Rudhall Manor but until last Friday,
when I went there to photograph Joyce and John as Lord
Nelson and Lady Hamilton, I was not even sure exactly
where it was.
Rudhall
Manor is currently the home of Councillor Harry Bramer
but having been the home of Lord Ashburton and more recently,
Sir John Harvey-Jones and having been visited and written
about by Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton, the country house
has a fantastic history, which I am only just beginning
to discover. As I eventually find out more information
I will publish it but for now, below are some of the photographs
I took last Friday both inside and outside of Rudhall
Manor.
I
have also included a photograph of the currently topical
Rudhall Brook which is taken from an unusual angle, in
the grounds of the property. The lakes in Rudhall Manor
grounds were designed by Sir Peter Scott.
I
would like to thank Councillor Harry Bramer for accommodating
our small party on Friday. The party included John and
Iris Price, Joyce Thomas OBE, Jo Scriven of the Ross Gazette
and myself. Thank you for showing us around your fantastic
home and for allowing me to take these photographs.
More
photographs of Rudhall Manor can be seen in the gallery.
