Apology for Unpublished News
|
|
I would like to apologize to quite a few people whose
news I have just realized I missed when compiling this
week's edition of 'Wyenot News'. After a really busy week,
yesterday I was just so tired I wanted to get it on-line
so that I could get some rest and discovered this morning
that I missed a whole load of emails when compiling. I
actually succeeded in getting to bed before 12:30 am last
night. I will publish the articles next week. One of the
problems of having to do the whole thing myself, I'm afraid
- occasionally I just cave in under the pressure. In particular,
I missed the Heritage Centre, Ross in Bloom and the January
2006 Community Forums info.
The
New Rock Foundation article, for which I took a photo
on Saturday evening, arrived too late and missed the deadline,
I'm afraid.
Just
think of this as a preview to next week's addition. Sorry!

Pupils
at Gorsley Goffs are currently involved in setting up a
school travel plan. Travel Plans are required by every school
in the nation by 2010 and have three main aims; to reduce
the use of cars by parents taking children to school, to
improve safety awareness of children whilst walking or cycling
and to increase health awareness and encourage less use
of cars in general.
In
the photograph, along with Mrs Pat Williams - Teaching Assistant,
Mr Humphrey, Miss Jodie Challen - class teacher, Mrs Liz
Fishpool, crossing superintendent and Rachel Lambert - film
producer, children at the school can be seen making a promotional
video for the plan.
