Ross Town Band Remember Past Members

Members of Ross Town Band gathered together at Ross community Hospital on Saturday, 10th December to dedicate a tree and plaque in memory of band members who have died since the band reformed, twenty years ago. Family members of bandsmen and women who have passed on also attended the dedication.

The photographs below show the band plus family members at the dedication service. Also included are photographs of the Phelps family and a group photograph of representatives from each family: Joan Ollis, Barbara Clarke, Betty Gwatkin, Dorothy Ruck, Di Lerigo, Michael and Philip Dew, Kyra Dew, Roger Phelps, Emma Ryman, Anthea, James, Rebecca and Andy Hamilton and Janet Pascoe.

Rotary Club Senior Citizens' Christmas Party

Ross Pensioners and disabled people enjoyed a Christmas Party at the Larruperz Centre on Saturday, 10th December. Approximately ninety five people attended the party, which was provided by Ross Rotary Club with the Inner Wheel, wives of Rotarians providing the catering.

Entertainment was provided by Ross Town Band and the choir from Ashfield Park Primary School sang Christmas carols.

Pictured below are scenes from the afternoon event, including Ross Town Band and the Ashfield Park Choir with teachers, Mrs Pam Davies, Mrs Joy Mainwaring and Rotary Club president, Phil Dazeley. The bottom photograph shows Rotary Club and Inner Wheel organizers, David Burgess, Shirley Eastwood, Ursula Stewart, Brian Roe, Pat Dazeley, Kim Hampson, Ann Whiteley, Debbie Griffiths, Jim Stewart, Phil Dazeley, David Hudson, Eileen Lyon, George Pendlebury, Julie Baldus, Duncan Learmond and John Pugh.
