A disco in memory of Matt Beddard was held at John Kyrle High School during the evening of Tuesday, 19th December to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Fund. Matt, who was a bright student, thought of highly by everybody at the school, died of a brain tumour in February 2005.

Pictured below are some of those who enjoyed the event. As can be seen, students excelled themselves, dressing as cave dwellers, policewomen and in various other costumes to enjoy the event. Matt's sister, Abi Beddard can be seen in the top photo, third from the right.

Another very special disco in memory of Matt has been arranged for Friday 29th December. This event will raise funds to support the Brain Tumour Trust, the Teenage Cancer Trust and Birmingham Children's Hospital. This disco is being organized by Matt's mother, Mel Beddard and Kim Parsons and will take place at The Royal Hotel, Ross-on-Wye from 7:30 pm until 11:30 PM

Mel and Kim hope that the event will raise a lot of money for these charities. If you would like to attend, the dress code is fancy dress - come as your favourite pop star.

There will be a bar available, nibbles and lots of great raffle prizes, so dig out your best dancing gear and head to the Royal Hotel on Friday 29th. Mel and Kim will be very pleased to see you.

Tickets are available from Ross Health and Fitness Centre and cost £8.00 per adult and £4.00 per child.

Pictured below, children who are not yet old enough to go to school enjoyed plays, singing and visits from Father Christmas.

Top photo: At Walford Pre-school Playgroup, children enjoyed an end of term play and party. All of the children were involved in the play, 'The Gift of Christmas' and each had a few lines to perform. Costumes for the event were made by parents.

Middle photo: Children at Ashfield Park Nursery were visited by Father Christmas, who gave every child a present.

Bottom photo: Children at Gorsley Toddler Group sung carols round the Christmas Tree and enjoyed a visit from Santa. If you live in the Gorsley area, Gorsley Toddler Group meet on a Tuesday morning between 10:00 and 12:00 and welcomes children between the age of 0 and 5 years.
