Back
to the '60s with Ross in Bloom
|

Ross
in Bloom held a very successful '60s dance at Ross Bowling
Club on Friday evening to raise funds towards this year's
champagne. At £10 per ticket, the event attracted
around eighty dancers, including many members of a local
dancing club.
I
went along for a short while to take some photos and the
dancing, to the trio Just Rockin', consisting of Andy Maxted
on Bass, Rick Maxted on Drums and Chris (Bigshoe) Waring
on Guitar was very professional. A
raffle was held, drawn mid evening by Mary Powell and the
bread and cheese supper was very tasty.
Well
done Ross in Bloom! With the success of this event it would
seem that this is a great way forward for future fund-raising.

Double
Barrel' at the Plough
|
|
It
was music night at the Plough Inn, Overross Street on Saturday
night and the entertainment was provided by 'Double Barrel',
who performed a wide range of rock covers.
Tina
and I stayed for about half an hour at the event - the first
of many photographic engagements on the same evening and
the atmosphere was great. I was offered half a dozen drinks
on just walking through the door but stuck to just the one
at that time. I would love to have stayed but it's just
like waiting for a number 9 bus . . . no news all week then
half a dozen things happen at the same time.
Pictured
below are 'Double Barrel' and some photo requests from the
venue.
