Happy
Birthday Caz and Doc!
|
|
For
those who like to read the weekly Prince of Wales live music
news. I am sorry but I did not make it to the Prince this
week. This was because Tina and I went to a party to celebrate
the birthdays of two old friends instead.
Happy
Birthday to Caz, who celebrated her day on Saturday, 19th
May and to Doc, who celebrated on Saturday but whose actual
birthday falls on Wednesday, 23rd May!
The
home-made curry was great and it is really nice to see the
two of you happy together as a couple!
I
have to admit that I had forgotten until I was reminded
by Caz on Saturday evening. Tina and I should have been
celebrating an event which took place exactly ten years
prior to Saturday - same place, similar occasion. Now that
you have reminded me, I remember it well Caz - and so will
all of those who left their coats in your bedroom that night
and could not retrieve them due to the door being locked
from the inside!

Were
you once a Beaver, Cub, Scout, Venture Scout or leader?
This year sees the 100th anniversary of the first experimental
Scout camp on Brownsea island with Robert Baden-Powell.
To celebrate this historic event, the Ross Scout district
are holding a Campfire and Barbeque to which we are inviting
all ex-members of the movement, whether they were involved
locally or have moved to the area since leaving Scouting.
The Centenary Celebration Campfire and Barbeque is on this
coming Saturday, May 26th at 7pm. It is being held at Upper
Pengethley Farm. Please call Bryan Jones on 01989 565156
for full details.
Ross
Scout District covers the Scout groups in Whitchurch, Walford,
Aston Ingham and of course Ross itself. The camp opens at
about 20:00 on Friday evening and continues until 12:00
on Sunday.
