There
were some brilliant performances of live music at the White
Lion festival at the weekend, the first of which was given
on Friday evening by acoustic roots band, The Supreme, Awesome
Dudes. They have quite a following and many of their fans
were there to see them.
Saturday's
entertainment began with Jocelyn, singing some beautiful
songs. She really has a fantastic voice. Will Killeen, in
the photograph immediately below, followed with some awesome
guitar playing. It was great to see you again Will. To round
off Saturday's entertainment, local duo 'Little Sister'
entertained people with their great range of cover songs.
The
weather was not kind to begin with on Sunday, but the show
must go on and Gareth Wigg, brilliantly accompanied by Jo
on piano gave a fine performance of 'Songs from the shows.'
You have a beautifully rich and powerful voice, Gareth and
you deserve to do well.
The
sun shone later in the afternoon, just in time for the Cliveden
Set to give a brilliant performance of some classic jazz
numbers but the heavens reopened with a vengeance during
The Zebras concert. Despite this heavy deluge however, their
large audience merely either took shelter inside the pub
or under the pergola and continued to enjoy their evening,
dancing and finishing off whatever real ale and cider was
left.
Thanks
to all of you for providing such great entertainment.
