A group of students from Cambridge University, currently
on tour with 'Hands on Science' (CHAOS) visited Ross Market
on Wednesday last. The volunteer group of graduates and
under graduates, aged between 18 and 25 visited, giving
practical science demonstrations to large groups of very
interested children and their parents. The very wet weather
did nothing to deter young visitors and the Market House
was packed.
In
charge of a group demonstrating bridge building was graduate,
Selina Hawkins and student, Ying Chow. The young scientists
showed how building an arch type bridge strong enough to
walk over is easy, as Olivia Ennis proves, watched by sister
Georgia and mum, Michelle.
