Ross-on-Wye Conservative Club is not just a place where
members of the Conservative Party meet. It is a great venue
for anybody to use. This was the message that the Club wanted
to get across when they held an Open Evening on Saturday.
The
evening included live music from the duo, 'Holly and Paul',
whom I have to say I enjoyed very much. It was really nice
to see a duo who actually played their instruments without
using karaoke backing tracks, as seems to be the norm these
days. It was a little noisy in the room but I filmed a couple
of songs, which can be seen below. A raffle was held, prize
skittles competition took place on the evening, and free
burgers were provided for hungry visitors. Having not had
time to eat all day, I was famished and indulged myself
with two of these - and very nice they were too.
The
Club launched their new web site on the evening, designed
by local web designers, Don Austin and Paul Phelps of C.D.S.,
on which local people are able to look up what is going
on at the venue, how to become a member and much more. The
web site can be found at www.rossconservativeclub.co.uk.
