St. Mary's Celebrates

Ross Parish Church, St. Mary's celebrated the feast day of their Patronal Saint, the Blessed Virgin Mary on Sunday with a fund-raising cider festival. As Ross Town Band played, various attractions and stalls provided plenty for the visitor to enjoy and a free glass of Broome Farm cider was given to all who purchased raffle tickets.

Nick Nelson fundraising for Ross Parish Church. Following the recent publicity, Nick and Janet Nelson have now closed
their, 'Janet Sexy Dressing' web site and have opened this 'janetseclecticreview' web site instead. I have not become a member of the site but I took a look at Nick's suggestion and think the front picture gives a pretty good idea of what Janet is going to review. Ref: DSC_0993

Local Conservative member, Jesse Norman buys a raffle ticket from Ann and John Constance, and enjoys a glass of cider. Whilst I was there, John told me the remarkable story of his great grandfather, Theopolis Constance, who planted the trees on the top of My Hill, to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1887. Dean Fulford

It is with great sadness that we announce the funeral of Dean Fulford. Dean died on Monday, 20th August, in an accident just one week before his 17th birthday. Dean's funeral will take place at Hereford Crematorium on Friday, 14th September at 12 Noon. All of Dean's friends are welcome to attend and flowers may be taken there.

Our thoughts are with his family at this time.

Ride on - A song for Dean
by Tina Jones

I did not know Dean Fulford very well but he was a good friend of Alan's daughter Sarah's and of my son 'Kev's.' Everybody I know that knew him simply said, 'He was lovely.' I wrote this song for Dean hopefully, somewhere he will hear it and know that his friends and his family love him and are going to miss him so much.

Ride on through the wind, ride on through the rain,
Ride on in a cloudless sky
Like the last time we saw you again.

Ride on through the day, ride on through the night,
We loved you well, now we kiss you goodnight,
As you ride on up to the light.

Ride on through the stars,
Watch us remembering you in our hearts, lovely Dean,
And know that we care,
Don't be scared, ride on.

Ride on like the wind,
Ride on without pain,
Ride on in a clear blue sky,
'Til the time comes to meet you again.

Ride on.
