Whitchurch
School Stage 'Ebenezer'
|
|
Whitchurch
School recently staged 'Ebenezer',' a rock musical for junior
school children which is based on Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas
Carol.'
Staff,
pupils and parents all worked very hard on the production,
from making the scenery, props and beautiful costumes to
producing tickets and programmes, providing music and the
children delivering a brilliant performance after learning
countless lines and songs.
Due
to other commitments Wyenot News was unable to attend this
production, but we are reliably informed that it was fantastic.

Spring
has sprung at the Doward

In
January of this year, Mr. Derek Williams of E & I Williams
telephoned Wyenot News to say that his daffodils were out
already and we went along to photograph them. A couple of
days ago we received the same call. Less than a year later,
the daffodils are 'tossing their heads in spritely dance'
again on The Doward.
Whilst
I was there, Mr. Williams also showed me some photographs
of a beautiful sunrise that he had taken just a day or two
before, one of which can be seen below.

The beautiful, handmade quilt in the photograph below could
soon be yours. Well, if you went along to Ross Heritage
Centre and bought a raffle ticket it could be. The other
prize in the draw is a wonderful throw that was hand knitted
by Mrs. Kate Bundy.
The
raffle is being run to raise funds for the Macmillan Renton
Appeal and tickets cost just £1 each. Time is running
out, so why not go along to the Heritage Centre and get
your ticket now?
