Orles
Barn Hotel was packed with diners on Saturday evening as
they celebrated the life and works of the great Scots poet
Robbie Burns with a fabulous Burns Supper.
Proprietors
Richard and Kelly arranged for well known local piper Alan
Harrison to pipe in and address the Haggis, and he performed
both of these tasks splendidly. Alan then recited a poetic
and amusing reply that he had written 'from the Haggis'
to the address, which was very well received and all who
attended thoroughly enjoyed the event.
The
talents of Alan Harrison don't stop at being an excellent
piper and Master of Ceremonies on Burns Night. He is also
the author of two Gastronomy books and a third is in the
process of being written. You can find out more about the
Orles Barn Burns Supper and Alan's books in this coming
Wednesday's WNTV News programme.
For
those of you who missed out on the Burns Supper, why not
book yourself and your beloved in for Orles Barn's five
course Valentine's Dinner? Due to it's popularity, this
year the dinner will be held on Friday 13th as well as Saturday
14th February. For further information contact Richard or
Kelly on 01989 562155.
