RUGBY: ROSS SUPERHEROES v. TWICKENHAM RFC

Ross RFC are to be congratulated this week as their promotion to Gloucestershire Premier Division has been confirmed. The team have fought many tough battles throughout the season and their promotion is well deserved.

The members of Ross RFC are a very hospitable lot and on Saturday were very pleased to play host to a side from Twickenham. After a friendly match at Ross Sports Centre, which the visitors won, a celebration party was held at the Drop Inn.

During a previous encounter two years ago everybody dressed as pirates before the match and a 70's TV character fancy dress party was held. This year the theme was Super Heroes and Banana Man, many Spidermen, Batmen, and Captains America were in attendance as well as a stunning Cat Woman, aka Rowena Pollock. Gareth 'get yer kit off' Holdsworth also attended, putting on a fine display both on the pitch and at the party afterwards and a very good time was had by all.
