We were pleased to welcome JAMSTAND organizer Jack Baldus to Wyenot HQ this week to keep us up to date on how the preparations for this great event are gong. After two successful one day music events Jack and his team have promised a two day extravaganza for Friday 7th and Saturday 8th August 2009. The festival will open at 1:30pm on Friday 7th with a good range of acoustic folk and rock, gradually building up to some real rhythm and blues courtesy of the Broome Cupboard Blues band, followed by Monmouth outfit Patchy. Headlining on Friday will be local favourites the Dandelion Killers, who will round off the evening, leaving the audience wanting more. And they won't be disappointed, for a day crammed full of all kind of entertainment has been planned for Saturday 8th August.

Saturday's events will kick off at 12:30pm and will include some great music from thirteen bands. There will be a good balance of local performers and some well known musicians from further afield and if you'd like to chill out, you can always visit the geo dome where DJs Jodie and James will be playing some great music and DJ Yoda will be headlining.

There will be lots going on for all the family, including circus skills, hair braiding and a kids corner, which includes bouncy castles. There will also be a tent where budding film makers from Hereford College will be showcasing some of their works. As well as all of this, there will be a bar, lots of food available and a variety of stalls. If you are interested in having a stall down on the JAMSTAND field please contact Marie on 07790772275.

Although the two previous JAMSTAND Festivals have been extremely successful, there were a few issues that Jack has addressed for 2009. He has enlisted more help this year and there will be better toilet facilities and a delegated litter team. For those who assumed that Jack didn't bother with licences, please be assured that he did. Below is a photo of the licence for this year's event, and everything is properly insured.

Jack would like to thank everybody who is helping to put this great event together this year, in particular those who have sponsored the event, Ross Town Council, Herefordshire Council, Marie for organizing the toilets amongst other things and Sam Parrett for his work on the programme, which will soon be available on www.jamstand.co.uk.

Tina talks to Jack Baldus about the forthcoming JAMSTAND 2009 Festival.

Jamstand Organizer, Jack Baldus.
