We
were first introduced to the fun of a Ceilidh about two
years ago. We had gone up to Broome Farm to cover the event
for Wyenot News, not knowing what to expect and had a really
good evening. The opportunity to repeat the experience came
on Saturday evening, where Ceilidh band The Poachers were
calling the dances.
The
event was held to raise funds for Broome Farm's two chosen
charities for 2009, The Santa Rose Fund and WAWA. Both charities
raise money for under privileged children in South America.
Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the Ceilidh from the music
and dancing to the fantastic cider, perry and great food.
An event at Broome Farm is always well worth attending,
so if you missed the Ceilidh, why not go along on Friday,
10th July to see fantastic lap slide blues guitarist / songwriter,
Tom Doughty? Tom will be supported by the brilliant Broome
Cupboard Blues band, so a good time is in store for you
all.
