Howle Hill was alive to the sound of music on Saturday, great music that was performed by JKHS teacher / student coalition, The Banned, Bekki Steele, Controversial Minds, Alex Knapman, London band, Starlight by Storm and many others, who kept a very large audience entertained throughout the event. 'A Picnic with The Banned' was organized by Harvey Powell, Dave Chatwin and many people from the John Kyrle High School who are always working very hard to raise money to support the school's and Ross Town's links with Uganda.

The whole event was very well put together and all those involved are to be congratulated. Before we left Cuckoo's Corner, we spoke to Harvey Powell about the event, all the hard work that went into it and his possible plans for a two day event next year. Well done to you all. We wish we could have stayed longer, but duty called elsewhere too I'm afraid, hence our early departure. We rally enjoyed what we did get to see and shall look forward to next year's event.
