Peterstow
Village Fete is always a great success, with the whole community
pulling together to provide visitors with a lovely afternoon
out on the Common. On Saturday morning the clouds were looking
rather ominous, but undeterred by this, the organizers worked
hard, putting up the gazebos and setting up the side shows
and waited for the crowds to arrive. Fortunately the rain
did hold off and hundreds of people turned up to enjoy the
fete.
Popular
local band, Double Barrel played some great music whilst
people browsed the many stalls, tried the Wheel of Fortune,
Tombola, Welly Wanging, or Skittles. There was even a 'Guess
the weight of the sheep' competition. Refreshments were
available courtesy of a Broome Farm Cider Tent and a marquee,
where delicious cream teas were being served.
Norman
Bricknell spoke to us for WNTV about this lovely event,
part of which can be seen in the programme below.
