in my Neighbourhood' week took place throughout the West
Mercia region last week and on Wednesday, we visited The
Maltings, where members of our Local Policing Team, Sergeant
Neil Welding, PC Mark Murphy and PCSO James Cooke were on
hand to not only introduce themselves to members of the
public, but also to give residents the opportunity to raise
matters of concern.
of the NHS Herefordshire and Herefordshire Council team
were also present at the event to raise public awareness
of 'Herefordshire Parents Matter' a new service for the
county that has been set up to offer support for parents,
in particular those of school age children across the county.
The team were giving out balloons, pens and contact numbers
and informed us that this great new service will be fully
operational by the beginning of 2010. The
County Protection Team were also there to inform people
of the work that they do and how they can help.
Murphy spoke to us about the event for WNTV News. You can
hear what he had to say by clicking the video link below.
