This short film, shot in the market town of Ross-on-Wye is to wish all of our readers and viewers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The video and stop motion sequences cover the three major events leading up to Christmas 2009, including the switch-on of the new town Christmas lights, the Christmas Shopping Festival, yesterday's Christmas Carnival and Santa's visit to Ross. It also includes other bits and pieces, which with the exception of two short scenes filmed at King Arthur's Cave and Broome Farm, were all filmed in Ross-on-Wye - lights in the Gresleys and Three Crosses Road, the log fire at the White Lion Inn, the Dean Singers in the Maltings and dancing at the King Charles II.

As a Christmas present to anybody who would like to use it, a full 720i high definition of this film is available for download. This can either be burned to DVD in DV quality or Blu Ray disc in 720' HD for either private use or in business premises. DVDs may be passed on, on the condition that money does not change hands and that the film is burned to digital media or played on computer media as it is. It must not be cropped, edited or changed in any way whatsoever, including the soundtrack, which is used under license to Alan Wood for broadcast with video and this license is not transferable. The video, including soundtrack may be broadcast on television anywhere in the world but a cue sheet must be filled in.

To download the video: click here to go to the film on my Vimeo channel. Scroll down to the bottom right corner of the page and RIGHT click the 'Download windows wmv ' link and choose 'Save target as'. I'm not sure if you have to join Vimeo to do this but if you do, they are a very trustworthy company, and you will probably find it an interesting website anyway.

I hope that you enjoy watching and that the film, which can be watched from the Ross-on-Wye and other pages of Wyenot helps all local businesses in some way!
