Adding
up the view counts on both You Tube and Vimeo, the Symonds
Yat tourism films I put together on Wyenot for the 2009
season were watched over 10,000 times during the tourist
season - between the months of April and November.
Rather
than have three separate films for the area though, for
the 2010 season, I thought it might be better to make just
one, narrated edit, using material from all three plus some
extra sunset and night time scenes. The new film can be
seen below. I hope that it helps local tourism.
Feedback
has so far been good, other than from one local person who
does not like the music. Strangely, everybody else has said
they particularly liked the choice of music.
Other
than that used in the opening and final scenes, the music
is perhaps not my personal preference either but it is not
as simple as buying a CD and ripping it. I have to have
a license to broadcast it, and I have to pay for this out
of my own pocket. This is not cheap and so far, music for
broadcast on the films I have made for Wyenot has cost me
close to £700.00. I have to buy what I can afford,
and I use the word 'afford' lightly because Wyenot is still
running at a loss to me personally - even after 10 years.
If somebody would like to finance something more fitting,
I am more than willing to go along with that.
