I
expect that everybody has seen enough of snow over the past
week. Not much news has been reported to us this week as
a result of everybody staying home but you still might like
these photos and the film. I took the photos on Thursday.
I
did just manage to drive home from town after filming the
snow falling on Tuesday evening, however my van was stuck
at home from that point on for three days. On Thursday,
Tina needed to get to work and so she walked. Tina suffers
from severe arthritis in her spine and walking is difficult
for her on a sunny summer's day and so her walk to work
on the snow and ice was slow and I went with her, to make
sure that she was OK. On the way there and back, I took
several thousand scenic photographs. Some of these can be
seen as pictures below but most went into the making of
the film immediately below this text. It is the last 'snow'
film I intend to make this year and it is perhaps a little
arty farty.
Pink
Floyd have been my favourite band since the 1960, however,
the music in this production is not nicked from a Floyd
album. It is a piece I specially licensed for this particular
video. On reflection, I should have used a tripod and taken
more photos during the pan sequences but my main reason
for being out was for Tina, so shooting the scenes came
secondary.
The
movie starts outside my family home in Cawdor and 'Snowy',
the snowman was created by my sons, Matt and Chris, my daughter,
Sarah and their respective boy / girlfriends. I hope you
enjoy this walk by the River Wye....
