Many years have passed since we saw an 'It's a Knockout' contest in Ross-on-Wye and it was great to witness such a contest going on in the rowing club field on Saturday. The event was organized to raise money for Help for Heroes and Ross Pre school Playgroup and teams from Ross Rugby Club, those involved with the playgroup and many local businesses had a lot of fun competing against each other in some challenging and at times hilarious obstacle races.

Many people turned up to watch the event and there were lots of stalls, bouncy castles and side-shows for the very young or less energetic to enjoy. Like the recently revived pancake races, the event was a great success and hopefully we shall see more events like these taking place.
