You may be forgiven for thinking that the annual Harvest Festival was taking place early in St. Peter's Church last Saturday, for the tables were laden with fruit, vegetables, flowers, jams, preserves and cakes. It was not the popular autumnal service taking place, however, but Peterstow Horticultural Show. There were also displays of photography, spun knitwear, crafts and a host of other categories in this popular annual show.

We were made to feel very welcome as we went along to cover the event and were very pleased to see overall champion Nick Penfold being presented with his cup by the society Chairman, Mr Harry Britten-Austin.
