FOGGY OCTOBER AND HIGH WATER ON THE WYE.........

As mentioned more fully in this week's blog, news of the levels and moods of the River Wye has been a popular subject of emails received since the very early days of Wyenot and so I have decided to cover the subject in much more depth - by that, I mean more regularly, not by filming the fish at the bottom of the river. I am going to try to film a short sequence of the Wye at some stage every week for our weekly archive video 'The Week in Moving Pictures'.

I began by filming at dawn on Monday morning. I did hope to film the sunrise but the morning fog was so thick that the sun had risen by three hours before it managed to break through the mist, making for a wonderful sunny day.

There are just a couple of the early morning photos below. The rest can be seen in this week's edition of the new weekly programme.
