It
was a very busy night for Wyenot News on Friday, 2nd December.
The evening began in town to photograph the beautifully
decorated function room at the Eagle
Inn, then I headed off to the Hope
& Anchor, where Landlord Rick was awaiting his fate.
Rick and Debbie and their regulars raise a lot of money
for St. Michael's Hospice and in their latest bid to boost
their funds, Rick was persuaded to part with the beard he
has worn for over 22 years.
Locals,
Tim and Mark soon had Rick settled in his chair before trying
to unnerve him, Sweeny Todd style. After many laughs and
strokes of the razor, Rick's beard finally lay on the floor.
This hilarious event raised over £350 for St. Michael's.
Well done to all of you.
From
the Hope & Anchor, it was off to the Mighty 8, where
my friend, Ryan was celebrating his 18th birthday.
