Nigel Gaudion's
Charity Party took place at the Chase Hotel, Ross-on-Wye 0n
24th April 2004
with proceeds going to local charities, 'Pound Farm' and 'St.
Michael's Hospice'. It was a brilliantly organized and extremely
enjoyable event which began with the sound of bagpipes and an
amazing fire eating display. A great evening of entertainment
was then provided by the extremely funny and talented, Fred
Wedlock, (The Oldest Swinger in Town) with dancing to two
live bands, 'The Ledge' and the fantastic, 'Mighty Pledge'.
I don't know at this point how much money was actually raised
but I am sure Nigel will let me know soon.
As
those of you who were there will know, I took one or two photographs
(342 actually). By far the majority turned out well and will
be available for viewing in Nigel's Shop, Ross
Records from tomorrow afternoon.
It
was nice to see so many old friends, some of whom I had not
seen in years. Thank you Nigel. Thanks also to Fred Wedlock.
It was 'Shangri-La' to see you again and I still have not forgotten
your last gig at The Chase, in 1976. The pics will be in the
post tomorrow and both Tina and I look forward to the next one!
