Old Maids Walk is a continuation of Church Street and leads to the Walford Road and to the Prospect / St Mary's Parish Church. It is the home of the police station. Having recently read the history behind the naming of Old Maids Walk, I think the word 'Maids' should really have an apostrophe as the story only involves one old maid, however, as per usual, the street sign says not.
