The
Old Pump House (self catering cottage) at Symonds Yat West has
recently undergone extensive renovations and has been converted
into a lovely two bedroomed holiday cottage which overlooks the
Wye Rapids. Situated in beautiful, wooded countryside, just a
few miles away from the market town of Ross-on-Wye, The Old Pump
House is an ideal place to stay, whatever type of holiday you
are looking for. There are local activity centres nearby for those
who enjoy outdoor pursuits, such as rock climbing, cycling, canoeing
or fishing and there is a good deal of wildlife to see whilst
taking a leisurely stroll if you prefer to take things a little
easier. The Old Pump House is located near to many places of scenic,
natural and historic interest with Goodrich Castle, Yat Rock view
point and other attractions being just a short drive or walk away.

Proprietors
Sue and Malcolm designed and built the conversion themselves and
have made every effort to ensure that your stay is a happy and
comfortable one. The lounge at The Old Pump House is tastefully
furnished and equipped with a television, a video and a dvd player
as well as a few games, just in case the weather keeps you indoors
for a while or you just wish to sit back and relax. The house
is fitted with under floor heating and there is a fire to give
a lovely cosy glow if it gets a little chilly.
There
is a fully fitted kitchen / diner equipped with all essential
items, including a dishwasher so you will have all you need to
make you feel at home. If you prefer not to cook whilst on holiday
there is a wide variety of pubs and restaurants in the vicinity,
giving you a diverse choice of food and drink.
On
the upper floor are two bedrooms, one of which is a double room,
the other being a twin room. There is a shower room between the
two and along the length of the landing is a window affording
the most beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
