Penny Royal Cottage is a spacious, three bedroomed self catering unit which is situated in beautiful Symonds Yat East. The cottage is peaceful and secluded yet is just a few yards away from local pubs the Saracen's Head and the Wye Knot Inn, restaurants, Rose Cottage Tea Garden and an Adventure Centre. Wyedean Canoe and Adventure Centre is also owned and managed by Paul and Jane Howells, the proprietors of Penny Royal. This is the ideal place to take a good relaxing break or an activity packed holiday. There are many things to see and do in the immediate area, including river trips and woodland walks, where you may spot some of the local wildlife. Goodrich Castle and Yat Rock are also nearby, as are the ancient market towns of Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth.

The proprietors have made every effort to ensure that Penny Royal Cottage feels like a home from home. The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with all of the essential items, including a built in microwave, an electric oven with ceramic hob and fan and a dishwasher. There is also a fridge, a freezer and a washing machine available.

Penny Royal Cottage has central heating throughout and in the sitting room is an open fire for which wood is supplied, giving a lovely cosy feel in the chilly evenings. There is also satellite television, a video player and a telephone installed.

There is a separate dining room at Penny Royal, complete with highchair. However, if you prefer to dine outside, guests are welcome to use the garden furniture and enjoy a barbecue in the pleasant grounds of the cottage.

Penny Royal Cottage can accommodate up to seven persons, plus a baby or small child and comprises a double bedroom, complete with cot if required, a twin room and a triple room. All rooms have great views of the surrounding countryside and local deer can often be spotted through the windows during the early hours of the morning.

There is a bathroom on the upper floor as well as a shower room and W.C on the ground floor. Towels and bed linen are supplied.

Weekly rentals run from Friday to Friday. Two night breaks run from Friday to Sunday. Three night breaks run from Friday to Monday. Four night breaks run from Monday to Friday. A complimentary fruit bowl and two bottles of wine will be provided. Dogs are welcome at Penny Royal Cottage at a charge of £35.00 per stay.
