Friday, 11 July 2003 was a special day for Ross-on-Wye, when Her Majesty the Queen visited John Kyrle High School. The crowds waved and cheered as Her Majesty's car drove up to and through the school gates. The Queen was guided round parts of the school by Headmaster, Mr Griffiths and afterwards, she spoke to several of the children, who had been eagerly awaiting the royal visit.
