The Red Lion Inn is situated in the peaceful country village of
Madley, yet is just three miles from the City of Hereford. Parts
of this lovely, listed building date back to the 14th century
with many features of the inn reflecting its history.
The
Red Lion is a very popular resting place for walkers, cyclist
and those who enjoy country pursuits and is an ideal place to
sit and relax whilst enjoying a drink or one of the tasty meals
that are available. The inn is also a good place for business
people to enjoy an uninterrupted lunch when entertaining potential

The
Lounge Bar at The Red Lion

warm, friendly welcome awaits you at the Red Lion
The Red Lion boasts two comfortably furnished bars which are full
of olde worlde charm and have a cosy atmosphere. During the chillier
months a roaring log fire is lit in the Lounge Bar, enhancing
its homely feel. There is a good selection of real ales available
in either bar as well as a choice of spirits, lagers and ciders.
There
is a separate games area at the Red Lion, incorporating a pool
table, a dart board and gaming machines. The pub has a phat team
as well as a crib team, a pool team and male and female darts
teams. If you like to join in with pub games, why not go along

The
menu at The Red Lion is fairly diverse and there is a good selection
of vegetarian dishes available. There are several choices of salads,
ploughman's lunches or baguettes to choose from or why not try
one of the delicious steaks available. Choose from a 16oz T bone
or rump or a 12oz sirloin, freshly cooked to your taste?
There
is a lovely restaurant area in the inn, however, if you prefer
to dine al fresco, there are lovely gardens to the rear of the
building in which to relax and enjoy the sunshine.
The
Red Lion welcomes families There is a range of childrens' meals
on the menu and a highchair is available upon request. An added
bonus is the childrens play area in the gardens that is equipped
with a swing, a slide and a climbing frame to keep the children
occupied whilst you enjoy your food.

accommodation chalets at The Red Lion
As well as
serving up good food and drink, The Red Lion also offers accommodation.
There are eight chalets, comprising one double and seven twin
rooms adjacent to the inn. All of the chalets are comfortably
furnished with en suite facilities and are equipped with tea and
coffee making facilities and a television. The current tariff
is £40 per room.

The
Red Lion is open during the following hours: Monday to Thursday,
12 Noon until 3 pm then 6 pm until 11 pm; Friday and Saturday,
all day from 12 Noon until 12 Midnight; Sundays all day from 12
Noon until 10:30pm.
Food
is served between 6pm and 9:30pm from Monday to Wednesday. From
Thursday to Sunday food is served between 12 Noon and 3pm, then
6pm until 10pm.
