The place for information on Ross-on-Wye and the Wye Valley

The River Wye at Ross on 5 October 2004

With the rain we have experienced so far this year, the River Wye was bound to begin rising. I took these photographs yesterday, on October 5th 2004 just as the Wye had risen to its peak for the day. It was not a spectacular rise and I was really only there to get a cup of tea at the Conservatory Coffee Shop (I don't like coffee) rather than to photograph spectacular floods, but I thought the shots show one of the various moods of the River.
