The
place for information on Ross-on-Wye and the Wye Valley
What
is 'Ross Live!'?
The
'Ross
Live!' festival takes place annually in August and in 2006,
promises a week of varied entertainment ranging from classical to
blues, enchanting seventeenth century love songs and Oscar Wilde's
nineteenth century witticisms. However, Ross Live! is not solely
about organizing and marketing individual concerts and an annual
August Festival.
The
aim of 'Ross
Live!' is to create projects and events which will
bring about a deeper understanding of different cultures
and art forms to people of all age groups and all walks
of life.
'Ross
Live!' consider their 'Outreach Programme' to be
an important part of their work within the local community,
in particular with local schools and youth organizations.
They
also aim to help and encourage talented individuals to develop
their skills and strengthen their ability.
Festival
Director, Robin Symonds would like to hear from anybody who would
like to help 'Ross
Live!' to extend their work. If you are a teacher, a youth
worker or a group leader working within the Ross-on-Wye community
and you would like to become involved in the 'Ross Live! Outreach
Programme', please email
Robin. He will be very pleased to hear from you.
